Anchored by Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Western Europe, the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc region offers everything a mountain-lover could want in a winter vacation. Big mountain views? Check. Powder fields above the clouds? Check. A region steeped in rich alpine history? Yep! Chamonix has been ground zero for winter sports since they hosted the first Winter Olympics in 1924. On the north side of Mont Blanc stretches the Chamonix Valley which offers five resorts each with their own distinctive flavor of French terrain. On the south side of Mont Blanc, and connected by a tunnel to Chamonix, lies the Italian village of Courmayeur, also offering its own unique slopes. In between these two village lies the Vallée Blanche, a glacier-carved valley that tempts skiers & snowboarders with its 12 mile ski run down the famous Mer de Glace glacier. For this trip, we’ve paired the world’s finest terrain with a 5 star Relais & Châteaux luxury hotel featuring two restaurants—one, a traditional french farmhouse serving local French specialties in with relaxed atmosphere, the other a sophisticated Michelin-starred restaurant offering inspired haute cuisine.

A note about meals: The price includes breakfast and dinner daily. We recommend having dinner for half of the time at the hotel and going out for the other half. That said, some guests enjoy dining in every night and not having to worry about venturing back out. Others like to explore the town. The choice is up to you. We can customize the trip any way you like. Just let us know.
